For sufferers of regular neck pain, often caused by a sedentary lifestyle or poor posture, it may prove helpful to dedicate a few minutes each day to light exercise, thus helping to maintain the elasticity of the vertebrae and relax muscular tension.
Let’s take a look at three exercise that you can do every morning at home, before launching yourself into your daily routine. 1. Head rotation Lie comfortably on the floor with your legs slightly flexed.
Rotate your head from right to left, taking care not to bend your head forward.
Repeat this rotation movement very slowly, 10 times.
2. Head lifting Once more lying on the floor with your legs flexed, place your hands behind your head and slowly lift your head, bringing your chin toward your chest.
Slowly lay your head back on the floor.
Repeat this exercise 10 times.
3. Side neck tilt Standing up with your legs flexed, slowing and gradually tilt your neck toward your right shoulder, using one hand to help you. Hold this position for 5 seconds. Then slowly tilt your head toward your left shoulder.
Your shoulders should remain relaxed and immobile.
